My Little Man is Growing Way Too Fast!!!

Blowing out the candles on his Power Ranger cake
(I know, I know - I shouldn't have asked him what kind of cake he wanted!!)
Matthew stood on the coffee table after he opened his presents and screamed, "Thank you everyone!!" It was so cute!
He was sooo happy all day!!

He loves the Pirate outfit Bebe and Grandale gave him.

It is so hard to believe that Matthew is four today. Time has flown by..... It certainly has been a wonderful (and quite entertaining!) four years. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!!!
These are a few pictures from his "family party". Thanks to Daddy Ray for letting us have it at his "party house" and thanks to Uncle Gary for the pictures.

Matthew's 4th Birthday party

Matthew's "friend birthday party" was at the Warehouse. It is a neat place in town that has what I call a giant, clean, indoor McDonald's playground. The kids all had a ball. Here are a few pictures of the birthday boy. We are having his "family birthday party" Sunday on his real birthday - so there will be more pictures to come!!!

sliding on one of the many slides.....

jumping in the ball pit......

singing happy birthday to himself......

blowing out the candles for real (we couldn't find anything to light the candles with so we faked it.... meanwhile Matt went next door and borrowed a lighter so we lit them and sang again - notice the icing is gone from his cupcake)

opening presents - it is always a group effort!!

That Busy Time of Year.......

We had a very busy weekend. Matthew's birthday party was Saturday. We went to see Santa at the Country Club after church Sunday. Then Sunday night was our church's Children's Christmas program. This week looks to be just as busy....... here are a few pics of the boys with Santa.

James Hyer

I tried to get a picture of him walking but he just wouldn't cooperate with me!

Jamesey's thoughtful, serious look.

Little stinker loves his paci!!!

My attempt to get a picture of the boys in their matching Christmas pj's. You can see how well that turned out!

James Hyer was 17 months old yesterday. It has been a while since I've posted about him so I thought I'd post some new pictures . He weighs 21 1/2 lbs. now and is finally taking a few steps..... mainly when he is going after something or someone. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope everybody else did too.

St. John's Thanksgiving Program

Matthew's preschool had their Thanksgiving Program this morning. All of the Indians were so cute. Matthew actually sang this time - he usually gets stage fright and just stands there. Here are a few pictures I took.

My Little Monkeys

James Hyer is going to be a monkey for Halloween and is wearing the same costume that Matthew wore 3 years ago. I thought I would compare their pictures. Aren't they cute little monkeys??

Trunk or Treat

Our church had its "Trunk or Treat" tonight. All of the "trunks" had a biblical theme this year. It was really cute and we had a great turnout. Here are a few pictures.

My sweet niece Ann Carol. Her pig outfit was so adorable even though she refused to wear her ears. If you look closely you'll see the rainbow is falling on her as she is trying to pull a sucker!Sampson and Deliah (aka the Walcotts) They are telling the kids "their story". It was so cute.

Our friends Steff and Jason (who are sooo creative) won first place for their take on Moses parting the Red Sea. Matthew and his friend Britt are posing in front of it. Congrats - Matt is so jealous! HA

Here are Matt and Matthew in front of our Lions Den. Matt was disappointed in only winning 2nd place but you can't expect to win when you cheat and get a real designer to make it for you! Thanks to Matt Ortner for doing such a great job on it!

Our Youth Director won 3rd place for Noah's Ark. She and her husband were dressed for the part too. I'm not sure how I missed them in this picture.

Go Dogs!

Matthew and Daddy in front of our apartment
James Hyer had just woken up and wasn't happy about taking puctures!
Matthew and Ann Lamar on the jumpy games.
James Hyer playing on the Lamb's cooler. (I never got a picture of him and Macy together.)
Ann Lamar and Bully. Matthew, of course, wouldn't go near him!! This was her first time to go to a ballgame. She had so much fun except at the game - she was ready to go after about 15 minutes - Uncle Matt was not happy!!

Picking Cotton

Matthew's preschool went out to my daddy's to pick cotton Friday. They had so much fun - although they liked jumping in the cotton trailer and playing on the tractor more than actually picking the cotton. Thanks, Daddy Ray!!

Recent Pics

I haven't had anything really excited to post lately. These pictures are James Hyer helping daddy mow the yard and Matthew with two of his buddies, Pullen and Joyner, at St. John's Preschool Open House a few weeks ago.

Playdate

We had a playdate last Friday with the Browns, Kimmels, and Lambs. We have all been so busy this summer that we haven't all gotten together in a long time. I think this was the first time all 4 babies have played together since they've been "mobile". As you can see in the pictures - Macy is going to be the boss of the little boys just like Brooke is of the bigger boys. And I just want to let it be known that the only way I got the 4 big kids to sit still for a picture was by bribing them with candy.
